DARINGLY RED, WITH CHANEL

CHANEL have launched three fabulous new collections to their range. The Fall 2016 collection, the new Chanel No 5 L’eau, and a brand new foundation called Le Teint Ultra Tenue Ultrawear Flawless Foundation. We’ve split our reviews into three parts to focus on each collection separately and to give each one the love it deserves.

Le Rouge Collection N°1 is Chanel’s newest Fall offering and is launching on counters nationwide on August 5th.

I know I sound like a very broken record with every CHANEL collection that launches, but this one is definitely the most special I have ever seen. It has blown me away with their innovation and luxury; it's sexy, fun and you just have to run out and buy it. What makes it extra incredible is that it’s the first collection to be masterminded by Chanel’s brand new Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer Lucia Pica. This collection defines the power of red; the presence that the colour truly holds for every woman. Her debut collection features stunning products for the face, eyes, lips and cheeks. The stunning model for this collection is also none other than Kristin Stewart.

Lucia Pica has reinterpreted the colour red. Through the depth of a nail polish, the frankness of a lipstick and the intensity of an eyeshadow; this is a collection of makeup that gives women a new sense of power.

So save up those month end salaries and store your bonuses like cute little chipmunks because Le Rouge Collection N°1 is the word on every makeup fashionistas lips. I literally stopped breathing for a good few seconds when I picked up my personal favourites and must-haves from this range. Naturally, I have to share the how and the why with all our fabulous girlies. Guys, you can read this one too, especially if you're looking for something to spoil your lady with.

Let’s start with the belle of the ball. The Les Ombres eyeshadow quad called Candeur et Experience. This beauty is packed full of browns, plums and a soft red.

My favourite Illusion D’Ombre from this collection is called Rouge Brûlée. It’s a stunning shade that reminds me of flames. I use it to prime my eyes before using the eyeshadow quad. Or use it on its own for a wash of colour over the eye with tons of Le Volume mascara coated on those lashes.

There are also some gorgeous red lipsticks in this collection. Ranging from light reds to the deepest ones. My favourite is Rouge Allure Velvet in the shade Rouge Feu.

The Joues Contraste in this collection is a heart stopper. The blush is the perfect soft red shade. It won’t scare you and gives you a beautiful flush of colour on the cheeks without looking like a doll.

Wearing the Fall 2016 Collection and the new foundation...review coming up!

The latest CHANEL Fall collection has old fashion romance written all over it, with gorgeous finishes and sexy, deep red colours to boot. This is old glamour makeup personified. Coco Chanel once said that “The best colour in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.” We couldn’t agree more. In my world, its always going to be red. There’s a sense of passion, empowerment and confidence that comes from putting on a red lipstick; but when it’s a red lipstick made by Chanel, well then theres nothing more empowering than that!
