Our eyes, they tell a story. They bear witness to our greatest joys and our worst sorrows. They let people know whether we’re happy or sad, excited or disappointed. How apt then that they say that the eyes of a woman are the windows into her soul. A woman’s eyes hold it all. It is a testament to the strength that we as women possess and the grace that allows us to carry all that we endure. Whats more? When the stunning ladies over at 27 Pinkx decided to grace the Rave Review Beauty Desk with a parcel of their gorgeous false lashes, I was overjoyed. Let’s be honest, what girl doesn’t love falsies?! But when you get sent five sets sorted from natural to ultra dramatic (all in one box, nogal), thats just better than any red velvet cupcake on offer, anywhere, in the entire world.
Next question. Would they pass the test? These lashes didn’t just pass the test, they surpassed it!
If you’ve ever bought a box of single lashes before then you’ll know that it always comes with this teeny tiny little bottle of glue. Not my favourite. It often has a really funky smell, and doesn’t always keep the lashes in place. Thats where the 27 Pinkx girls have trumped the competition. Their package of lashes come ready with a full size tube of my favourite lash glue DUO. These lashes are a delight to wear. The pack starts out with a natural looking lash and as you make your way down they get a bit more dramatic. Natural lashes are perfect for that first job interview, lunch date with the girls, or even just to perk yourself up. There’s nothing prettier than gorgeous lashes on a very natural eye. The more dramatic lashes will command respect at any event, wedding or first date.
I’m always asked whats the best way to apply false lashes? Trust me, when I first started using them I literally jabbed myself in the eye at every turn and glue went everywhere. So not the classiest of sights. But one simple little tool changed my life. Tweezers. Just grip the lash in the middle of the band with the tweezer, apply glue on that band line. Wait 10 seconds for the glue to get a little tacky and then place onto the lid with the tweezers. Tuck the corners into place, and then press the falsies against your natural lashes for a seamless effect.
