2020 has thrown us more curveballs than a game of cricket. We have had to deal with an unprecedented pandemic that has caused loss, grief, sadness, and massive anxiety. People are feeling scared and unsure about the path to take to bring some normalcy back to their lives for 2021. Families have taken so much strain under abnormal circumstances, parents have lost their jobs and have had to become teachers to their kids during the lockdown. It’s all so overwhelming, that it really helps to talk to someone. And while it’s great to speak to family and friends, sometimes it’s better to get advice from someone objective and unbiased – your own personal cheerleader. Meet Mandy Lee Ginsberg, Cognitive Coach, and Public and Motivational Speaker. We know she is bound to be your new best friend. Want to know why? Keep reading…
Mandy is a survivor – she is a fighter and has cultivated all of the tools you need to change your life around having lived an incredibly testing and traumatic life for almost 17 years. But she came out the other side; stronger, empowered, and ready to take the tools and skills she used to overcome destructive behaviour to change the lives of others and pass the baton to them.
Her childhood was anything but easy. It was rooted in dysfunction, abuse, and constant bullying at school. It is safe to say that this type of trauma completely eroded her self-esteem and self-worth and she found herself in a never-ending cycle of self-loathing, feelings of inadequacy, and a need to self-medicate to numb her deep-rooted pain. But like I said earlier in this piece – Mandy is a fighter, a survivor and she had a choice; to heal or die. She chose the first one, and she has never looked back.
Mandy is now a professional Cognitive Behaviour Coach helping people, of all ages, races, and ethnicities, to deal with anxiety, stress, destructive behaviours, eating disorders and belief systems, as well as self-esteem issues that are keeping people from being their best selves and living the life everyone deserves. Mandy is also a public and motivational speaker within the corporate sector and works with companies and their employees to draw the best out of them.
“When I met Mandy three years ago, I was broken and unable to break free from a self-destructive eating disorder. She helped me to heal and every step of the way reminded me that it was me who was doing the work to get myself to a better place. She is selfless, honest, and genuine. She taught me how to change my belief system and although this took time, even years, she was patient and caring throughout. I can honestly say that she held my hand through my journey and I never thought I could reach a place of such peace and healing as I have now. I highly recommend Mandy for anyone going through anything you feel is unmanageable, because she will truly show you that it is not”. – Sandy
“It finally happened Mandy, the fear is gone. The fear of it all… fear of rejection… fear of not being enough. Fear of not being worthy of the right love, fear of having a voice and expressing my needs. The fear of being ME. The fear of being alone, fear of not being successful, and achieving my dreams. The fear of being naked to the world and saying… take me as I am. I feel like I am finally listening to the child in me and healing her with love and admiration”. – Jennifer

“I met Mandy in a time of complete desperation. I was bulimic, binging, and purging every day with nowhere or no one to turn to. I found Mandy’s number on a Facebook group and contacted her in a state of panic and hopelessness. We set up an appointment immediately and she instilled so much hope into me that I could actually fight the monster. She is constantly questioning my negative thoughts and makes me aware when my thoughts are not loving and not rational. Mandy always shows me that I am not a failure and I know that I can always contact Mandy when I need someone to talk to and I know I will be met with kindness, empathy, and no judgement”. – Melissa
